100 FREE Albums from Microsoft with Windows 8

I do not post too many Music Deals, but I am a sucker for FREE Music. For the last month or so, google play has been giving away music each week. I post these albums just to the Facebook page. BUT 100 FREE Albums from Microsoft is a GREAT Deal. These FREE Albums are not cheesy, they are all from very good artists. You will need Windows 8 or 8.1 on your computer or Windows 8 phone. I know that doesn’t work for everyone, but its whats needed for this deal. If you are TECH savvy, there is another option, but I would consider it a Advanced option. (see below for this option)

Deal Details

Microsoft is giving away 100 Albums for Free with a promo associated with XBOX Live.

Here are the steps!

• Click HERE to add XBOX Live for FREE to your Windows Log in!
• Click HERE (if you’re using PC w/ Windows 8)
• Click HERE (if you’re using Smartphone w/ Windows 8)
  • Install the Music Deals App to your PC or Smartphone
• Open up the Music Deals App
• Click on “Holiday Freebies” 100 Free Albums (as seen above, scroll to the right)
• Start selecting the albums you want for FREE
  • When you click on the Get for FREE, it will open up the “Music” App
• Once you see your album, Click the green “Get it Free MP3”
• It will ask you to confirm “purchase”
• Your album will start downloading!

The nice thing is that the songs once downloaded are in a DRM Free MP3 format!!! You can access them through the Music app, or directly in this directory,  C:\Users\{Your Username}\Music\Xbox Music\Purchases\

Advanced Option

You can currently download a FREE Windows 10 Preview iso which can be installed on any Windows 7 and Mac with Parallels(Mac)or VM Virtual box(windows).  Windows 10 also has access to the Music Store! 🙂
