Its Been 2 YEARs since, Walgreens Changed their Coupon Policy. Its pretty bad. Probably now the worst coupon policy of any retailer out there. Which of course is lame. 🙂 I guess we can say, Once there was a lot of deals!, now we can say there are a few deals every week…….They changed the Rules a bit. You can now do the following,
You can use earn and redeem points in the same transaction, with the following restrictions,
You can only earn/redeem on “Points promos” that SPECIFICALLY mention a quantity of items. Such as Buy 3 colgate products and get 400 points. You can use points to PAY for this entire transaction and get back 400 points. smile emoticon
You can NOT get points back on a threshold “Points Promos.” Such as Spend $20 on participating colgate items and get 1000 points. You can NOT earn/redeem points in the same transaction on these kind of promos.
Also on the everyday points, you can earn everyday points on the ONLY on the portion of the balance you did not use points. So if you had a $5 transaction and you use “$3” in points, you can only earn everyday points on the NET $2 purchased.
Also you cant use the actual points you earned in a transaction. So if you had 500 points, and you were to gain 1000 points in a transaction, you can only use 500 to pay. you dont get to use those 1000 points until next transaction.
Perhaps you have started to see a pattern. One week is heavy on Register Rewards, and then the next week is heavy on “Points” Deals. Every once in awhile they throw a slow week in there. The thinking is convert points to RR one week, and then RR to points the next week, over and over again. Therefore not having to spend any money OOP! 🙂

For Safeway troutdale, or I am needing the district manager name and number! I had my wallets stolen by a Safeway employee and they refused to view the video. Also officer Doug Asboe (503) 988-7300 went to the troutdale safeway to see the video and the store manager told that they needed a police report even though we did not ask to personally see the video but asked them to view the video. They are hiding something perhaps protecting the thief so as Safeway will not be liable! However we know with 100# certainty that it was a Safeway employee who took the cart upon closing of the store from me and took the wallets that were left in the child sitting area of the cart. But the employee did not turn in the wallets! Now the store after promising to view the tapes will not cooperate with us! My next move is to contact an attorney and sue if I can’t get a higher up that will help/cooperate! Thank you for your time!
