This may or may not be a deal to you, but its something that will be useful to me, and useful to others in a pinch. Microsoft has decided to release an Online version of the the Microsoft Office Program that’s 100% Free!
Microsoft’s Office Online is a completely free, web-based version of Microsoft Office. Because its web-based it can run on computers, tablets, phones, really anything that can use a web browser! Of course you need to be connected to the internet to use this.
Since this is a FREE version it doesn’t give you access to ALL Office programs but its still lets you use the popular ones, Word Online, Excel Online, PowerPoint Online, Outlook Online, OneNote Online and you can manage a calender and address book.
OneNote is like a virtual little hard drive to keep all your documents in the cloud. They give you 7GB for free which is PLENTY. You can also upload your documents on the fly, edit them and then download them back to your computer. You can also print, which prints to a PDF file which you can then download/send wherever you need.
Of course Google docs has been around forever and has set the bar for online document control, but one thing about it, its not 100% compatible with Microsoft Office Files, which Microsoft Office Online is. So now you can open, edit change any Microsoft Office files that people may send to you!
