Wonder how much these are at Walmart?
Did you actually read or print the coupon? It states: Save $1.00 on ANY MULTIPACK (Boxes) or 12 Cans. The $0.89 packs are 1 item (singles, like the cans) and not considered a multipack.
i did read it. π notice how many “or’s” there are. if there was one, i would agree. there is not. the wording is
Save $1 on any SHEBA multipack OR any twelve (12) cans of sheba OR PERFECT PORTIONS Food for cats.
The multipacks come in 24packs. the coupon could be used for that
OR ANY 12 (separate) CANS of sheba sheba makes a small little can
OR perfect portions food for cats.
This coupon does NOT beep for the 24packs. The coupon DOES beep for 12 separate CANS(i tested this first). the coupon DOES beep for a perfect portions. The can is a single serving. The perfect portions are not. There are 2 individual sealed servings that say “1 serving” on EACH side.
But that aside,
unfortunately the coupon legalize on the coupon is just not specific enough. This coupon could legally be interpreted either way. it should say OR any twelve (12) PERFECT PORTIONS Food for cats….. But it does not. based on the wording, i am buying “A” Perfect Portions cat food.
Sometimes a coupon has a bit of grey area in the wording. Unfortunately, this is not one of those times.
Sorry, but I don’t agree with you. I think that is “twisting” the info on the coupon to make it fit your desire to get something for free.
To use this coupon you need to buy:
1 Multipack OR
12 single cans OR
12 Perfect Portions (which are considered singles too, even though they come in 2 halves).
Servings don’t mean anything… 1 single can has 3oz. 1 Perfect Portions pack has a total of 2.6oz,
So should I consider 1 can to be “multipack” because is has actually more “servings” than the Perfect Portions?
I hope you are right and I’m wrong but I’m going to call them today and ask about it and let you know.
i agree they should have worded the coupon better. π intent vs actual wording are 2 different things. A coupon is legal tender. it actually matters how its written, wrong, right or indifferent. I would be interested in their opinion also. They need to reissue their coupon(with the change), companies do it all the time.
I contacted them via Facebook and just got a reply:
“Hi Alana,
Thanks for the message.
One single Perfect Portions would not be considered a multi pack. In order for the coupon to work, a person would need to buy 12 single cans or trays.
Example:
Tray: http://www.chewy.com/cat/sheba-perfect-portions-grain-free/dp/115575
Can: http://www.chewy.com/cat/sheba-premium-chicken-pate-entree/dp/109010
Or, they can purchase a multi-pack box.
Example:
Tray Multi-pack: http://www.chewy.com/cat/sheba-perfect-portions-grain-free/dp/115583
Can Multi-pack: http://www.chewy.com/cat/sheba-premium-chicken-salmon-beef/dp/109026
Hope this helps.

the “or” between sheba and sheba perfect portions is just separating the 2 brands . you still need to buy 24 multi pk or 12 cans of EITHER sheba or sheba perfect portions.
Alana said, “To use this coupon you need to buy:
1 Multipack OR
12 single cans OR
12 Perfect Portions (which are considered singles too, even though they come in 2 halves). ”
Doesn’t buying a pack of 2 make it a multipack? Therefore fulfilling the requirement to buy a multipack? Single would mean one, multi means more than one and two is more than one. I agree with the blog owner on this one, maybe they meant something else, but the coupon is legal tender. When we use manufacturer coupons, it’s not a discount, it’s a form of payment. If they want to change it, they have that right, but once it’s printed, it’s good for what’s written.
The reality with coupon verbiage is that you HAVE to be really specific. Since its a legal form of tender it actually matters. The coupon verbiage for this coupon 100% leaves the way open for the usage I listed above. But to be fair and above board, Alana contacted the company via Facebook, and their response is above. For that reason, i will strike this deal as dead as not to promote it any longer, regardless of my opinion. π
grumble grumble. π
