6 Months of FREE Netflix for $4.99 @ Radio Shack

{UPDATE} Read my comments below!! {UPDATE}

{UPDATE} Got my Netflix code today!  6 months for $5!!! 🙂 {UPDATE}

I hope that title made sense. Basically we are “buying” a 6 month Promo Code to Netflix for $4.99!  I am going to state now that this deal worked PERFECTLY for me, but it involves a few steps, and a possibility a good test for your your couponing charm.   But hey, $4.99 for 6 months of Netflix was worth it!

Deal Details

  • Radio Shack has a promo that started yesterday, “With Any purchase of a postpaid phone, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, TracFone, Net10 or TelCel no Contract phone, any tablet, or any notebook computer will receive six months of Netflix unlimited streaming service.”
  • In this weeks paper, in the Best Buy ad is a LG440 Tracphone for $4.99, Radio Shack Price matches PHYSICAL ads.
  • This deal works with  new, existing, and former Netflix customers.

You can read about the details on the Radio Shack home page.  The best part of this promotion is that there are NO cost/variety restrictions! That means technically we can buy any of those brands of phones even the $5-$15 ones, and ask for the code.  Radio Shack prices matches physical ads, so I brought in the Best Buy ad from yesterdays newspaper that has the LG440 on sale for $4.99(its $14.99 at Radioshack).  The Manager took the ad, did some things at the register, and made the price happen.  You NEED to ask for the Netflix promotion.  My manager was totally cool about the deal, he couldn’t believe it and was happy for me.  BUT you could easily find a cashier/manager that thinks this is TOO good of a deal, and will start to makes excuses, like “Ill lose my house if I give you this deal”..etc 🙂 .  That’s where your charm comes in. 🙂

Here is the Best Buy ad, page 11 is where you find the phone.  Also the above pad at radio Shack, notice that the Netflix promo shows with what you are buying.  If it does not show here, the promo code will not print out on the receipt. This was before the price match.

Here is the phone, which is bascially a widget that cost me $4.99 that gave me 6 months FREE Netflix.  Once you get the phone, which could again be ANY of the brands above(they have some NET10 phones for $5 in store Regular price), The Netflix Code prints on the receipt.  Then go to Radio Shack Netflix promo code page, enter your code in the second box, give some basic info, and within 48 hours your Netflix Code will arrive in your email, DO THIS STEP AS SOON AS YOU CAN!  Then once you get the code, take that code and “add” it to your Netflix account! Once logged in to Netflix you can go here to enter the promo code.

This deal will CLEAN out the stores as you can imagine VERY soon. So keep this in mind. 😉

Again here is the overall details of this promo!

    But if you bought today, Radio Shack has said it will “of course” give you your netflix code. 🙂

  • Wow… glad I waited actually. The cheapest in-store phone I found at my RS was $9.99. Then I remembered that someone in our house already uses Netflix, and that I can use their password to use it myself (something I’d forgotten about til I was in the store). I still thought I might do it for “my own” account, but just couldn’t get myself to spend $10 for the opportunity. lol. Now, this new “update” made up my mind for me.
