We get Double Coupons here in the Portland, Oregon area. These are found in the weekly ads, and they allow you to double a Manufacturer Coupon up to $0.50 “extra” cents. You can NOT(?) double a printable coupon, so if you see a deal below with both a paper coupon and a printable, if i mention you can double, its to double the paper coupon, not the printable. also have u read the doubling coupon. It needs to be 4 different items when doubling. So cannot double two coupons for same item. Hope this is clear.
Thats funny. I haD one store up here that interprets that wording the same way. Thats not what it means. if so technically you could have 4 different products(4 different UPCs), so which could mean flavors. for instance if it was cheerios, it could be multi, honey, choc, and reg. and you had 4 $0.50 cheerios coupons. although they could be the same coupon, you technically have 4 different products. WHen i explained that to this store up here, he had a fit. said ‘no” thats not what it could mean…… hehe, anyways that was an easy phone call to regional. and that was fixed. If you are talking about the woodburn store, I dont mind making a phone call. I wont be down at that store for a month or so to actually go in.
I was wondering about the inconsistency at Safeway regarding printable manufacturer coupons with another retailer’s logo. I was told by Safeway they do not accept these if there is another logo in them EVEN THOUGH it says “redeemable at ——-” and is in fact a valid manufacturer coupon. They say if there is a logo it is a no go. Anyone else frustrated by this? Blast Walmart for putting their stinkin’ logo on everything!!!
thats an instance of “Bad Safeway!” hehe BUT its an easy one to fix. Per the coupon rules,
6. Safeway will not accept manufacturer coupons (including, but not limited to, coupons issued through a Catalina or other in-store coupon dispenser) that display another retailer’s logo or name unless such coupon is for a specific item with the same product identifiers as the product included in our customer’s purchase transaction and is sold and available at the store.
It was an misinformed cashier/manager.

Hi, I saw Luis, the Mgr at the Sunset Esp SW and I asked him if his store double the IPQ and he said “NO”. I remember you said it was a YES from him. ?????
Anyway, I shopped more often at Aloha SW and most of cashiers there had no problem doubling IPQ, though I was denied by an old cashier and when I asked to check with Mrg, she called Dave and he said NO. 🙁
lol…when! I just talked to luis on thursday, and he said we would MAKE sure to let ALL cashiers know. If this happened since then, ill go visit him one last time. 🙂
yeh, the answer to ALL thing Dave is “No”. Can my daughter have a puppy? NO! Can I have a enjoyable time in your store today? NO! He cant help it. 🙂 But the new asst manager is from the 185th store and she does, and if shes there, and a cashier asks, she will tell the cashier to accept it. But the fact is, if you shop the aloha store, you already know how Dave is. And I have called district and regional for YEARS and YEARS about him, and and they are aware….. 🙂
